Nino Biniashvili (b. 1980, Georgia) lives and works in Jerusalem. Her graphic novel, On the Edge of the Black Sea won the 2018 Israel Museum's award for best illustration book. In her work, Biniashvili analyzes the possibilities and problems of communication between cultures and people. She attempts to articulate the experience of living in a permanent state of otherness.



Currently Nino is part of the residency program at the Art Cube Artists’ studios, Jerusalem. Her exhibitions include: The Israel Museum, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Museum Bärengasse, Zurich, Hansen House Center for Design, Media and Technology, Konstraum LLC, and more, her editorial illustrations were featured in Das Magazin, Swiss German daily newspaper published in Zurich; Atlantis, Judisk Krönika Stockholm; The Heinrich-Boell-Foundation Brandenburg, Potsdam; Einayim - children's magazine, Israel; Ha'aretz Daily Newspaper in Israel.
